In the late 1960's and early 70's surfers first discovered this area and came in small bands to ride the unique waves. They would stay for weeks on end, and during these stays, many looked for ways to keep their feet warm and dry. Because of an abundance of sheepskin in Australia, the surfers often turned to hand-made basic sheepskin "footies" for natural warmth, comfort and to wick away moisture. It was here that the foundation was laid for a brand that would later become a worldwide phenomenon. In 1978, Brian Smith, the company's founder, landed in Southern California with a bag of sheepskin boots and hope. So he founded the UGG brand, began selling his sheepskin boots and they were an immediate sensation. The UGG brand began to symbolize those who embraced sport and a relaxed, active lifestyle. More than that, an emotional connection and a true feeling of love began to grow for UGG boots , just as Brian had envisioned. The evolution of UGG from a brand that made sheepskin boots, slippers , clogs and sandals for an active, outdoor lifestyle to a brand that was now being touted as a symbol of a stylish, casual and luxurious lifestyle was swift. Today, as a fashion brand, UGG advertisements now graced the pages of Vogue Magazine as well as other fashion books. What started as a niche item, UGG sheepskin boots were now a must-have staple in everyone's wardrobe. I am amazed at the selection, I must admit that I never thought that I would ever buy a pair of shoes online, I've always felt that I would have to try the shoes on before I would ever buy them but I really liked the looks of the shoe and took the chance on them fitting and actually being as good as they looked, I'm relieved that when I received them that they fit perfect and really look great. I know that I will get a lot of enjoyment wearing them, I feel that they fill the bill of looking good, feeling good, and yet they are still have that understated casual look.

By StylishMama, from Connecticut | March 11, 2014 I thought these boots were super cute and I normally wear a 7 1 /2 or an 8 so I went with the 8 in these. I put them on and they felt tight and were flat out not comfortable. I also thought they didn't feel very secure when walking and I am used to walking in heels. I returned them for these reasons.

By StylishMama, from Connecticut | March 11, 2014 I bought my daughter Ugg baby booties when she was a newborn and then I bought her the Ugg 'Boo' boots when she was 11 months old. Now I bought her these classic toddler boots . I love them and she seems to as well. I like that she doesn't have to wear socks and I know they're comfy because I have 2 pairs of Ugg boots myself. Super cute on and I'll continue to buy her a pair (or two!) every year.

Yes No UGG Adirondack Tall $227.45 Great Boot for Chi Beria or further north By Lauri, from Chicago, IL | March 07, 2014 I purchased the boot for the "polar vortex" that has settled in Chicago based upon the recommendations of the shorter boot and found them to be very accurate. It is an excellent warm boot, snuggly, waterproof and with them coming just below the knee, it keeps out the snow when going over the multifoot drifts from this winter. Time will tell, but as of now I am very impressed. Not easy to impress a Minnesotan.
